Sunday Igboho was born on October 10, 1972, in Igboho town, Oke Ogun, Oyo State, in Nigeria’s southwestern area.
However, in 1985, he relocated to live with his father (popularly known as Baba Igboho) in the Modakeke region of Osun state, where he began as a motorbike repairer before venturing into vehicle sales.
He was a victim of the 1997 violent eruption between adjacent Ife and Modakeke towns, which led his father to relocate from Modakeke to Igboho in Oyo state. Igboho, on the other hand, stays in Modakeke.
After the riots subsided in the year 2000, Igboho was appointed youth leader and chairman of motor bicycle riders in Modakeke, which sparked speculation because he is not a resident of the Modakeke area of Osun state; this allowed his transfer to Ibadan the next year.

However, his recent action to send the Fulani community packing from the southwestern part of the country because of their perceived involvement in killings, kidnapping and communal riot due to cattle encroaching into farms and destroying their farm produce has earned him the title Akoni Oodua of Yoruba land, because he is believed to be fighting for the right of the Yorubas.
Also on the 1st of July 2021, Sunday Igboho house “his mansion in Soka” was also attacked, this was coming after 4 days the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was arrested in Kenya and brought back to Nigeria also when Sunday Igboho was getting ready for the Lagos State Rally of Yoruba nation which was dated for 3rd of July.
This was seen as an effort to stop the agitation of the Oodua nation and also to shut down every agitation in every part of the country. His house was attacked, cars damaged and two people confirmed dead and also taking away over 10 people residing in the building alongside Sunday Igboho’s wife. All attention was drawn to the Nigerian government with the Nigerian Army which is barbaric.
Later the Nigerian DSS (Department of State Security) gave an update that they raided Sunday Igboho residence and paraded 10 agitators with arms and ammunitions displayed, Sunday Igboho was then declared wanted by the Nigerian government. On the 19th of July 2021, Sunday Igboho was arrested in Cotonou the capital city of Benin Republic while heading to Germany.
