How To Register For Voters Card Online

Registration for the Permanent Voter’s Card began on June 28, 2021, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission.

On that day, a large number of Nigerians visited the INEC offices in their respective localities massively in order to register. The commission, on the other hand, has designed a strategy to make registration simple for Nigerians.

Instead of standing in huge lines at the INEC office, Nigerians can now register for voter cards online.

Registrants can then complete the process at any INEC state or LGA office beginning Monday, July 19, the same day that physical registration begins.

Below is information on how to register for a voters card online.

1. On your phones or PCs, prospective registrants should go to www.cvr.inec.gov.ng or www.cvr.inecnigeria.org.

2. To begin the registration process, registrants must first create an account with a valid email address.

3. During registration, you will receive an email with a link. To complete your registration, click the link.

4. Fill out the online form completely and accurately to avoid making any mistakes.

5. Choose a comfortable date and time for your biometric and data capture appointment at the INEC office.

6. Finally, send in your application. On your screen will display an application slip with your ID number and barcode.

7. Print the application slip and proceed to the INEC office for the data collection on the given date.

8. Following the exercise, you will be given a registration slip. You’ll need it to get your permanent voter’s card, so keep it secure.

Nevertheless, those who have already registered to vote can use the internet to complete other tasks such as transfers, updating personal information, and replacing broken or defaced PVCs.

INEC hopes that the platform will reduce overcrowding at registration centres and make registration processes smoother in general, offering Nigerians a positive electoral experience, while Nigeria and other nations combat the coronavirus pandemic.
