Prominent Yoruba actor Dejo Tunfulu has reportedly passed away.

The news of the 50-year-old actor’s death was announced by acting colleague Kunle Afod in a post on Instagram today.

Afod shared a photo of the actor to his Instagram account, captioning it, “You posted this few days ago Dejo Haaaaaaaaa”
“This is so sad 😭 Pressy Tunfulu Daddy Junior Still can’t believe this @dejomania.”
While the details behind his death remain unknown, his colleague and fans have taken to social media to share their grief at his death.”
Popular radio presenter, Adeyemi Olabode, wrote on his Facebook page: “I saw the post about your demise and hurriedly called your line so you can debunk the ‘April fool’ news, but alas! Your son picked it.”
“You were so kind and down to earth.
“You are one of the few I do lean on in the entertainment industry. I cannot do without disturbing you with my weekly BC messages on Whatsapp. So we would not be able to speak again Egbon.
“So our plans won’t be again? Rest in peace Dejo Tunfulu.”
Tunfulu began acting at a young age featuring in a television programme Theatre Omode. In his first film, Aje ni Iya mi, he played the role of Dejo.
He later joined Akuko Gagara Theatre Group and Kolawole International Theatre Group and made an appearance in Apere Ijongbon.
A popular comedian, Tunfulu shot into limelight following his role in Omo Oran, featuring veteran actor Fatai Adetayo (Laude).
He has also featured in several Yoruba movies, including Ejide (2007) and Ito urine (2008).
