Aki & Pawpaw Announce New Tv Series
Chinedu Ikedieze and Osita Iheme, two Nollywood actors and comic duos, are set to release a new series titled Fatty and Sons.
This follows requests from fans of the veteran actors to see them on screen again after a long absence from the industry.
Iheme, also known as Paw Paw, announced the news on Thursday via Instagram, where he posted photos of himself and his co-stars with the caption, “You guys asked for a TV series; so, here it is.” We’ve added Amala and Ewedu to the menu this time.
“Fatty and Sons Autos is the title. “Una, where are you going to keep an eye on me?”
Other Nollywood stars who will appear in the new TV series include Muyiwa Adegoke, Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, and Saeed Muhammed, among others.
The two had previously hinted at collaborating on a project together, as they did in the past. “Aki na Ukwa,” in which Iheme played Paw paw and Ikedieze played Aki, was the original film that catapulted both into the spotlight and made them household names.
According to all signs, the duo is prepared to produce both a TV series and a film, as their fans have demanded.
Charles Okpaleke, a Nigerian filmmaker, revealed the remake of the 2002 classic on his Instagram page on Wednesday with a poster that read, “AKI & PAW PAW… COMING SOON TO CINEMAS.”
