Baba Ijesha Will Remain In Custody Until Courts Resume – Lagos Cp
Nollywood actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka alias Baba Ijesha, who was arrested for allegedly molesting a minor, will be kept in custody until the judiciary staff resume their strike, according to Lagos Commissioner of Police Hakeem Odumosu.
This was claimed by the Commissioner while speaking to Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi, who staged a protest at Panti, the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, on Wednesday.
Fabiyi had led a group of demonstrators to the station, requesting that his colleague, Baba Ijesha, be released from his “illegal” detention.
According to the police commissioner, Baba Ijesha has been kept in custody based on legal advice from the state Ministry of Justice’s Directorate of Public Prosecutions and after a prima facie case against him was created.
He also mentioned that if the JUSUN strike continues indefinitely, Baba Ijesha’s detention would be reviewed.
