John Mulaney Is Dating Olivia Munn After Anna Marie Tendler Breakup: Reports
Olivia Munn, the star of Love Wedding Repeat, is rumored to be dating John Mulaney. His new relationship comes after he finished 60 days in rehab and declared his divorce from his wife just a few weeks ago.
John Mulaney had only been single for a short time.
Multiple outlets announced on Thursday, May 13 that the Saturday Night Live alum, 38, is dating actress Olivia Munn, 40. Mulaney’s rep told Page Six just three days ago that he was breaking up with his wife of six years, Anna Marie Tendler.
Mulaney met Munn at church, according to a source close to him, and their relationship is fresh.
According to several sources, the actor entered a recovery facility in December 2020 to deal with his addiction. Munn expressed her support for the cause on Twitter at the time, writing, “I’m sending John Mulaney a lot of love and support. You’ve got it.”
Mulaney told Esquire in 2019 that he stopped using cocaine and alcohol in 2005 and has been clean and sober since then.
He returned to the stage this week for his first performance since officially finishing his 60-day stint in February 2021. On Monday, May 10, he performed at City Winery in New York, which Rolling Stone senior editor David Fear described as “remarkably raw, fragile, personal.” He said Mulaney spent 90 minutes “mostly processing his intervention and recovery experience,” adding, “When I’m alone, I know I’m with the guy who tried to kill me.”
Mulaney and Tendler announced their divorce the same day as the show.
Tendler told Page Six via a spokesperson, “I am heartbroken that John has chosen to end our marriage.” “As he continues his recovery, I wish him strength and prosperity.”
In 2014, the actor from Big Mouth married the musician in Boiceville, New York.
Munn, who previously dated newly engaged football player Aaron Rodgers, has publicly stated that she admires Mulaney’s work.
“I was at a wedding with you and your fiancée, and I was thinking, ‘Oh my gosh, do you and your fiancée want to go have dinner or something and hang out?'” In 2015, the Rook actress told HuffPost Live about her experiences. “At first, it was cool, but then I kept approaching him at weddings and asking, ‘So you having fun?'”
“I was just so fascinated with hanging out with and chatting with him,” she said.
Munn joked that she contacted him afterward but never received a response “It’s possible that I received the wrong email… That’s what I tell myself all the time.”
They seem to have finally found a way to communicate.
