Joshua Fury To Fight In Specially Built Stadium

Joshua Fury To Fight In Specially Built Stadium

According to promoter Eddie Hearn, Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury have set a date for their undisputed heavyweight championship fight, which will take place in a specially built stadium.

The battle between Joshua and Fury will take place on August 14 in Saudi Arabia, and Hearn described it as “a done deal,” though both sides have yet to confirm it.

However, Joshua’s promoter maintains that the priority now is to build a brand new venue for the historic battle.

“They want to create a new stadium,” Hearn said of the Saudi Arabian hosts on Sky Sports. “They have options for indoors.

“It will be around 23 degrees at 11 p.m. in August.

“They want to make something truly unique.” They designed a stadium for the Andy Ruiz Jr fight in just seven weeks the last time, and it housed 18,000 people.

“They have the choice of holding it indoors, but they want to put on a show that will stun the world. They want to build a stadium specifically for this fight.”

Joshua’s mentor, Rob McCracken, who also coaches Team GB’s boxing team, will avoid a conflict of interest after the Olympics end on August 7.
