Mike Tyson, the boxing icon, has announced that he will return to the ring in February of next year. Last year, Tyson made a surprise comeback in an exhibition match against former heavyweight legend Roy Jones Jr.
Although the fight was deemed a draw, many believed Tyson should have won after delivering a huge punch on Jones.
According to reports, the event drew more than 1.6 million pay-per-view sales, with Jake Paul battling former NBA point guard Nate Robinson on the undercard, with Tyson earning over £7.5 million and Jones roughly £2.25 million.
Tyson has now stated that he will return to the ring in February2022, with speculations suggesting that YouTube sensation Logan Paul could be his next opponent.
“God willing, I’ll fight again in February,” Tyson remarked after his attendance at Canelo Alvarez’s undisputed bout with Caleb Plant. Tyson previously stated, “I am going to have a return fight in February and we are fairly doubtful about the opponent, but it will be a tremendously stimulating opponent,” in an interview with The Sun.
