Orji Speaks After ESN Commander ‘Ikonso’ Was Killed

Theodore Orji, the former Governor of Abia State, has issued a strong statement hours after military forces targeted representatives of the Indigenous People of Biafra/ Eastern security network.

The Nigerian army raided Oru East local government in Imo state yesterday and engaged in a gunfight with members of the eastern security network. A commanding officer of the Indigenous People of Biafra, “Ikonso,” and other members were shot and killed while this sad report was being made.

Theodore Orji, the immediate past Governor of Abia State, urged the Southeast Governors to concentrate on the safety of their citizens rather than the representatives of the eastern security network. “What I want is something that will protect our lives and properties,” he said, according to Vanguard Newspapers.

He went on to say that people are being killed every day and that instead of battling with ESN, the Southeast Governors should protect their people. Their members have vowed to be loyal to Nnamdi Kanu.

Since their members have committed many crimes in the area, the sudden assault on members of the eastern security network should be applauded.

However, I’ll take advantage of this opportunity to inform the army that Boko Haram terrorists and bandits can be dealt with in the same way.
