Prince Harry Reveals He First Met Wife Meghan Markle In A Supermarket
Prince Harry has revealed that he met Meghan Markle for the first time in a supermarket, where they pretended they didn’t know each other.
He said they pretended to be going to the store to get some necessities when they met for the first time.
To stop drawing attention, the royal couple tried to remain “incognito.”
When they eventually met, Harry claims he was wearing a cap and staring at the floor.
This was revealed by the Duke of Sussex while speaking on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast.
“The first time Meghan and I met up for her to come and stay with me, we met up in a supermarket in London, pretending we didn’t know each other and calling each other from the other side of the aisles, pretending we didn’t know each other.”
“People are staring at me, sending me strange looks, and walking up to me and saying ‘hello.'”
“I texted her and asked, “Is this the right one?” She said, “No, you want parchment paper,” and “I’m like, where’s the parchment paper?!?” ”
“I was wearing a baseball cap and looking down at the floor, trying to blend in; it’s incredible how much chewing gum there is, it’s a mess!”
Since moving to Los Angeles, Harry says his life has felt “more free.”
“Living here now, I can actually raise my head and actually feel different, my shoulders have fallen, so has hers, you can walk around feeling a little bit more free,” he continued on the podcast.
“I’ll be able to transport Archie on the back of my bicycle. That was something I’d never had the opportunity to do before.”
