Mr Joshua ruled as a fiery television preacher for decades, attracting a vast number of Christians from all around the world to his platform. Mr Joshua’s SCOAN runs Emmanuel TV, one of Nigeria’s largest Christian broadcast stations, which is available globally via digital and terrestrial switching.
In 2014, his church was the subject of a multi-national investigation after a piece of his Lagos headquarters collapsed, killing scores of people and injuring many more.
Mr Joshua vehemently denied any wrongdoing, and a trial over the incident was still ongoing at the time of his death.
TB Joshua’s megachurch is the home of the famed Emmanuel TV television station in Lagos, which is watched by millions of Christians throughout the world.

He is well-known for his disputed forecasts, which include the Ghana terror incident, the US presidential election, the coronavirus, and his political clout in Africa. Despite insecurity in several sections of the country, he recently claimed that Nigeria would remain one.
He just announced intentions to celebrate his 58th birthday on his Facebook page.
“As things stand, you may have guessed it will be difficult for me to enjoy my birthday in the current conditions,” he remarked. Some of the folks who want to attend are concerned about the global situation. We can see their anxiety and terror. I understand their anguish and anxiety.
“Let us therefore devote this day to prayer and fasting.” Don’t forget about the less fortunate. More birthdays are on the way, with God’s grace. God’s blessings! Emmanuel, please accept my heartfelt greetings. Jesus Christ is Lord! “Congratulations on your birthday.”
