Kenyan police have begun a manhunt for Patrick Mumo Ngenge, a suspect who raped his 90-year-old mother in Mbooni-Makueni county on October 20, 2021, before fleeing.
Her eldest son discovered the octogenarian in her bedroom, screaming in anguish and complaining of waist pains.
The 45-year-old suspect broke into his mother’s residence about 8:00 p.m., according to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.
In a statement, the DCI said:
“She tearfully described her horrific incident at the hands of her younger son Patrick Mumo, 45, who forced his way into her bedroom about 8:00 p.m. when she was sleeping and subjected her to the hideous deed,” according to the report.
The woman was transported to Kisau Sub-county Hospital in critical condition, where she is presently being treated. Doctors at the hospital have since verified that she had actually been raped.
The law will ultimately catch up with Patrick Mumo Ngenge, therefore he has been urged to give himself in.
