Update I Am Not Missing 22year Old Cross River University Student Says
Priscilla Ojong, a 22-year-old Mass Communication student at the Cross River University of Technology, has denied reports that she is missing.
Friends and family members launched an online search for her after she went missing for three weeks, claiming she travelled from Calabar to Lagos State on the invitation of a male acquaintance. The first article can be found here.
Ojong claimed in a video she posted on Instagram today that she was in Calabar, not Lagos, as previously reported. She claims she has been unable to communicate because her phone has malfunctioned.
‘There’s a report that I’ve gone missing.’ No, I’m not gone. My phone had a serious flaw.
Second, I am not currently in Lagos. I’m currently in Calabar. My phone had a serious flaw. You’re familiar with how the iPhone operates. It takes off by itself. As a result, I had to switch. Since I didn’t have any money with me, I had to wait a while before making the trade. You should be aware that if you want to exchange, you will have to pay more money. That’s why I haven’t posted in a long time.
Please believe me when I say that I am alive and well. I am in excellent health. Please don’t spread the rumor that I’ve gone missing.”
